Name: File menu The File menu contains the project related functions of the program. Name: New Project Use File | New Project if you want to create a new font project. This menu item displays the New Project dialog. Name: Open Project Use File | Open Project to open an existing font project. This menu item displays the open dialog. Name: Save Project Use File | Save Project to save your project. If you are saving a brand new project, this menu item displays the save dialog. If you are saving an existing project, this menu item saves the project into the existing project file. Name: Save Project As Use File | Save Project As to save your project to an alternative project file. This menu item displays the save dialog. Name: Close Project Use File | Close Project to close the font project you are working on, without exiting SimpleFont application. Name: Import True Type Use File | Import True Type to import an existing TTF file into SimpleFont. After selecting the requested TTF file, a dialog will appear where you can set the letter size of the imported characters. If you want to import a TTF that was created in SimpleFont, use 8 points to keep the original size. (8 points is the most common size in use for pixelfonts on the market). Name: Export True Type Use this menu item to export your font project into TTF. This menu item displays the Export to font dialog. In this dialog you can specify the font name(s). File name means the name of the TTF you will export. Font family name is the name you can see in the font selection lists of applications. Full font name means the name you can see in font installation windows. Name: Import BDF Use File | Import BDF to import an existing BDF file into SimpleFont. After selecting the requested BDF file, a dialog will appear where you can set the letter size of the imported characters. Name: Export BDF Use this menu item to export your font project into BDF. Name: Exit This menu item exits the application. |
